COVID UPDATE TO CUSTOMERS
Message to our customers
Today we have had lots of calls from customers enquiring as to the status of their work being completed in light of the November lockdown.
It is our priority as a business to ensure the safety of both our team and customers.
In light of the recent government lockdown announced over the weekend, we have had to complete further risk assessments into our working practises in order to ensure the safety of all.
These risk assessments have resulted in us having to make some very difficult decisions, including the decision to postpone some scheduled jobs including at the properties of those customers considered vulnerable.
It is imperative we ensure all work is completed in a safe way, whilst also adhering to the guidelines of our professional bodies and the government so as to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID 19.
Due to increasing numbers in the South East and the requirement to self isolate, this is also resulting in reduced staffing levels. By further planning for this eventuality by postponing jobs where possible it also ensures that our high standards are met by reducing the possibility of works taking longer than expected.
We have therefore assessed that as a business during the period of lockdown we can only complete work in the following circumstances:
Any works already started – this is to ensure that customers are not being left with half done projects throughout lockdown.
Any work in vacant properties or where social distancing can be maintained.
Any external work
Any emergency work that if not completed will impact upon the health and safety of occupants.
